About Summit Equipment, Inc.

Summit Equipment began in Post Falls, Idaho (on I-90 just east of the Washington state border) in 1991. The region features a strong work ethic, and we have benefited from the service of many employees who have worked together even before 1991. Here are just a few.

Skip Hissong, Co-founder

Skip's experience includes marketing and sales, equipment design and manufacturing, and manufacturing plant management. He has been involved with designing and manufacturing waste and recycling equipment since 1976.

Scott MacDonald, Co-founder

Scott's background includes marketing and sales, personnel, dealer relations, and administration. He has been involved with waste and recycling equipment since 1988.

Darren Peha, Engineer

Darren's engineering degree and experience equip him with design and specification knowledge in steel structures, hydraulics, and controls. He has been involved with waste and recycling equipment since 1991.

Luther Jasper, Service Manager

After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Luther has been involved with the design and fabrication of hydraulic circuits and controls for waste and recycling equipment since 1976. He's genuinely one of those "forgotten more than most of us will ever know" people, and is training good successors.

Earl Bishop, Shop Foreman

Earl has been managing manufacturing shops building waste and recycling equipment since 1978.
